 The research activity carried out by the Production Division of DIMNP is mainly focused on production engineering, including manifacturing processes, plant management and economical aspects. Financially supported by private and public institutions and in particular by the University of Pisa, the Italian Ministry of Research, the National Research Council and the European Union. A major goal is investigating and testing innovative production processes, also through the analysis of economical aspects, in order to achieve improvements in terms of automation, quality, competitiveness, productivity, reduction of time-to-market, etc. The main research topics concern: manufacturing processes, systems for industrial automation, quality engineering, technical-economical activities, computer-aided process and production planning. null |
